SafeDrive is an app that rewards drivers for not using the phone while driving. The app is using a complex and proprietary algorithm that starts to give points once the smartphone of the user surpasses a speed over 6 mph or 10 km/h.

Any driver can use the SafeDrive app.
3. How much does it cost?
SafeDrive is a free app and can be used anywhere in the world.
1. Does the app need an Internet connection?
The app requires an Internet connection only at the beginning of the trip, in order to synchronize your data stored on the servers.
2. How much data is being used?
We are continuously improving the data consumption of our app, do not expect to surpass 50MB per month.
3. Does the app need GPS signal?
Yes, the app needs GPS signal in order to determine the driving speed. This is important for the SafeDrive algorithm to calculate the number of points the app should reward you.
4. Does your app consume a lot of battery?
SafeDrive needs GPS signal and a temporary Internet connection. We are optimizing as much as possible, but we recommend using a phone charger for long trips.
5. What information does your app save?
The app saves your first and last name, email, age and car brand. Optionally, you can share with us your phone number. SafeDrive saves only the trip distance, time of the trip and points rewards. SafeDrive does not save information about your location, destination or route.

Using a complex and proprietary algorithm, the app gives points for responsible drivers.
2. What is a responsible driver?
A responsible driver is someone that is not using the smartphone at a speed above 6 mph or 10 km/h, with SafeDrive app active.
3. How does your algorithm work?
Our algorithm is using distance, total daily distance, speed and time in order to calculate the number of points rewarded to a responsible driver. In a normal scenario, as you drive more, you will receive points less quickly. This is a balance factor the app introduced in order to avoid large differences between certain type of users (e.g. grandparents vs. truck drivers);
4. What can I do with my points?
You can use your points to exchange for (discounted) products and services that local companies are offering in SafeDrive Marketplace. The Marketplace is subject to country availability.
1. What is a Play round?
A Play round is between 2 users, based on their best trip of last day the app was used (not being today). The user with the higher best trip wins.
2. What is the reward of the user that wins?
The winner is entitled to a percentage from the total number of points the opponent has in his account.
3. What are the percentages?
The standard percentage is 25, and it can decrease to 15, 10 and 5% by inviting your friends to become responsible drivers.
4. How can I decrease my percentage?
By inviting your friends to use SafeDrive and become responsible drivers (and helping them not to text while driving). If 1 friend accepts the invitation, the percentage decreases to 15%. If you invite 5 friends, the percentage decreases to 10%. If you invite 10 or more friends, the percentage decreases to 5%.
5. Do I need only to invite my friends?
The percentage will decrease once your invited friend has installed SafeDrive app.
6. If my friends are uninstalling the app, does my percentage change?
No, your percentage will remain at the level where you were before your friends uninstalled.
7. Can I turn off the SafeDrive Play?
Yes, in your account settings, you are able to turn off the Play mode.
